LENA K. JONES, B.A., M.A. AccFM (OAFM) is an experienced Family Consultant and Mediator, who specializes in providing services to families experiencing separation and divorce. She believes that families benefit when parents work together in a cooperative fashion instead of becoming adversaries in the legal process.

Lena provides a range of services for separated parents including Consultation, Parenting Mediation, Parenting Plan (Custody/Access) Assessments, Arbitration in Parenting matters and Parenting Coordination. She also assists families requiring the involvement of a professional to implement court-ordered parent-child contact (access).

Lena’s academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. She is a trained Family Therapist, Family Mediator and Parenting Coordinator. During her over thirty years of practice, she has conducted hundreds of diagnostic assessments of both adults and children as well as custody access and parenting capacity assessments. She has appeared in court as an expert witness in numerous contested child custody and child welfare matters.

Lena is an Accredited Member of the Ontario Association for Family Mediation, Acc.FM (OAFM). In her private and court-based mediation practice she has assisted hundreds of parents in negotiating their post-separation Parenting Plans.

Lena has served as a board member of the provincial Ontario Association for Family Mediation and as a member and chair of several interdisciplinary committees involving family mediation and custody and access matters.
